I loved this.
It had a slightly slow start but it soon picked up and ended up being a lovely, ghost-and-action-packed mystery novel with a side of romance that was sweet and lovely.
I adored both of the MCs but Rain was special. He's a bit slow to like but after a couple of chapters I fell in love. He's weird and hilarious, a bit of a sarcastic little sh*t too; he's always doing the opposite of what is wise and his inner voice was a delight to read. I loved his relationship with his family and the one he had with Danny was sweet and hot: I'm not the biggest fan of the "second chance love story" trope, so I was a bit worried that I wouldn't appreciate the romance bit. Instead, I really loved seeing them together, the bitterness and regret behind their interactions, and the hope too. They had tons of chemistry (TONS) and I'm looking forward to reading more of them.
Rain's peculiar ability and his interactions with the ghosts were probably the thing I loved the most and I'm both worried and excited to see what will happen after that ending.
