More mystery than thriller since it's a slow unraveling of past events rather than the immediate intrigue and urge cy of them happening in real time. Definitely a handful of facepalm moments when characters complicated their own lives unnecessarily. A somewhat slow start but all the twists kept me interested as I went. Second half moves a lot faster than the first. I listened to the audiobook but would recommend reading it for people who have the time. It was sometimes difficult to keep my facts straight but that wasn't any fault of the author. I'm not an auditory processor and I was listening to it so that's on me!
