This book very much felt like a warm, theological and philisophical hug. It went quite deep, but also felt quite cozy honestly.

The characters are the main stars, don't expect anything fast paced here. It's a short slice out of their lives, a short journey for the main part. There is backstory to the main character though, quite a lot but didn't feel like it was bogging anything down. The backstory was very charming, and very relevent to the robot part and kept up that warm feeling.

The main question asked here is "what do people need?". What do people really want, what do we need. Out of everything we have, why do we keep wanting more. What drives us, what motivates us, what is our purpose? This first book really only just touches on all of that, but has some absolutely fantastic and easy to read conversations about it all. A book heavy on reflection and thought.
