This book was great. I don't really know what to think of it except that it was very dark and messed up, and I feel like anything else I might say could be a spoiler. I will say though, I thought psychological thrillers would be more like this and less like what they're actually like. Also, the romance definitely takes a back seat in this book, though it exists, and there are on page sex scenes. I would recommend this book.

The only thing I wished would've been done that wasn't was for Lowen to have tried to explore more which of verity's writings were true, or to have had more of their lives included with Lowen trying to wither puzzle out what was true, or to cope with holding such a big secret in - that verity might have been innocent.Graphic: Domestic abuse, Eating disorder, Emotional abuse, Grief, Infidelity, Car accident, Child abuse, Body shaming, Child death, Death, Death of parent, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide attempt, Toxic relationship, Injury/injury detail, Medical content, Medical trauma, Mental illness, Abortion, Murder, Pregnancy, Self harm, Sexual content, and Sexual violence
