A Night Without Stars by Peter F. Hamilton
5.0
It's so refreshing to dip back into the Commonwealth Saga. When we last saw our heroes they'd been expelled from The Void into deepest darkest space. This story starts a few hundred years after their Great Transition and tells the story of the paranoid population of Bienvenido and its war with the aliens known as The Fallers.
It's so much fun. Part space opera, part political thriller. With lots of old characters going right back to the original Commonwealth books. Even The Prime get a look-in.
It's hard to imagine where The Commonwealth Saga can go from here but I'm sure PFH is up to the task. Truly entertaining. If you've read the others then this one is mandatory.
