James Patterson Witch & Wizard Series Collection : Witch & Wizard, The Fire, The Gift by Jill Dembowski, James Patterson

1.0

I tried to read a Patterson book a few years ago and I was horrified with the writing. It was awful. I never finished it. I read this one because my sister really liked it. I didn't. There really is a different between showing and telling. Patterson (or should I blame Charbonnet?) tells and it's not beautiful. The story could be good if it was developed. Which it isn't. A good example of undeveloping the story is the magic that Wisty and Whit can suddenly do. How they do it, how they control it, is never explained. They don't even know how they do it. And at times they can't do it, but that isn't explained either. Lame.

I won't be reading another Patterson novel. I had to make myself finish this one. It was painful. And a waste of time.
