This book is a bit longer than the books I generally read but I've been trying to challenge myself this year.
I feel like this story had a lot of extraneous details and yet skipped over things I really wanted to hear more about. There is a massively long build up to the scandal, then suddenly poof it's 4 years later and all the excitement has been passed by.
Overall an enjoyable story, the elegance of historical fiction with the scandal and drama to keep the reader hooked.
