This was my first digital book I’ve read so that experience was different for me. I enjoyed it, though. But note that I’m not sure if my experience would’ve differed at all if I read a printed version.
I enjoyed the plot. I know some reviewers said that it felt a little contrived, but I really liked how it all connected. I thought the detail made things realistic — with detectives untangling more and more information until they get to the truth.
I liked how they cleaned it up at the end. I only had one question that came up: who is Paul?? lol I had trouble keeping track of characters so idek who this person was lol. I remembered the mention of their name at a different point in the book, but by the time we got to the end I found myself wondering who that person was.
I think this book could’ve been a stronger read if there was more character development for Lydia and one of the detectives. But I think it accomplished what it was supposed to: being a fun, lightly creepy at times, whodunnit mystery set in a cool time period.
