This surprised me in many good ways. The writing was sensual and drew me in,  without being cliched. The spice was not over the top or bam bam bam. There were moments of tenderness and adjustments and communication . It’s a significant improvement on the cliched age-gap erotica for the male gaze (older MMC, young inexperienced barely legal FMC)

This is definitely a series and writer. I will see more of.

It’s a good example of Erotic Romance. There is plot here and character drama. The sex scenes fit into the story line.

It’s very likely that I will want to reread this which is why I gave it 4 stars

Things I disliked would want to be different:
- two dimensional nature of Preston.
- Set up for the third break up. Yes the 19/20yo FMC was acting immaturely because she is still learning adult relations and navigating those you break up with.
- their age gap relationship could have added more interaction and sincere drama if it had been revealed sooner to the mum and others.
- the weird judgy narrative around the neighbour.
- the lack of other female characters who aren’t foils for the MCs.
