Devious Lies by Parker S. Huntington

5.0

This was one of my rare 5 star and most highlighted books. I’ll tack on a review later when I get my words back.

So before I read a book, I read a good mixture of reviews to decide if I want to read. All of the negative reviews basically centered around the author trying to sound “smart” by using “big words” and the book was a bunch of jargon. This didn’t bother me in the slightest and I felt she was using the words because a big part of the book was centered around the FMC’s love for unpopular words. The author used the words so you’d feel more connected to the FMC.

Truly, I loved the book. There were a lot of great lessons and reminders in it, I felt the plot was well done and the characters had enough depth to understand them. Do I think the book could’ve been shorter? Yes, but it didn’t bother me.
