Dreamers by Yuyi Morales

This book reminds me of the stories my mom and my wife whom both are immigrants who came with their families for a better life. Hearing my wife's story of how her, four of her siblings, and her mother crossed the Mexican-Arizona border through the desert at a very young age (4 yrs old) tackled the dangerous journey to find the American dream. Through out their lives my wife's mother struggle with the injustices many immigrants face in America but did not stop her from providing the best way she could a better life for her children. This book can teach others and young children about how many immigrants face the challenges when coming to a new country and the hope that one day they can prosper in a country that offers a dream to all.
