The Goodwin family is complicated, and those complications only grow when Dianna is found dead

Lucy Goodwin dreamed of having a loving mother in law, instead she got Dianna

Dianna is nothing if not practical and wants her children to understand not everyone is a privileged as she is

Ollie and Nettie are Diannas devoted children but cannot understand why she won’t help them when money is tight

This “whodunit” explores the complicated relationships of a well off family and what money can truly drive people to do

The exploration of Dianna throughout the book builds a strong and complicated character who’s only desire is to do the right thing by her family

Nothing at all to dislike, an easy 5 stars
