The Catch Me if You Can: One Woman's Journey to Every Country in the World by Jessica Nabongo

adventurous informative inspiring lighthearted fast-paced

4.0

This was a quick relatively light read but very inspiring. It follows the story of the first black woman to travel to every country in the world, an Ugandan American woman from Detroit. It is a story of passion for travel and adventure, connecting with locals and unfortunately the realities of racism and/or sexism as she travels.

It does not cover all 195 countries but countries where she has had significant experiences. I felt like some of the chapters were very short and left me wanting to know more about her travel process and chapters, it may have been blogposts turned into a book? It kind of feels a bit like that but still definitely worth a read. My wanderlust was fuelled by this book especially excited about Bhutan, Cuba, Nepal and Kenya
