My review in only key notes:

++ maturer fMC with life experience (not the freshly 18yo often found in fantasy), personality fitting

++ personal narrator = we find out everything along with fMC
-> enhances emotions, more tension

+ a lot of plotlines that mostly come together nicely

(I have neutral feelings about the different POVs)

- some plotlines disappointing after being build up for so long

-- sometimes more passively telling than actively showing
(sometimes hard to keep up with as certain scenes were left out making the reading flow "bumpy" even if we are later on told about what happened)
Apparently she was getting taught about her powers and the dragons for quite some time, but apart from a short scene were she is actually just asking why mMC bond touched her and is getting no actual answer but at some point later on thinks about how she felt like she did not lear a lot the reader is no part of it.

-- felt like author did not know how the story would move along while writing it (somehow not really involving her powers much in the story or kind of "backpedaling" when the fMC could find anything out about the dragons like she suddenly isn't sure about revealing it then)

The good rating is really mostly based on good vibes and because I found the fMC refreshing, but this book could really have profited from a few more pages.
