This was an interesting follow-up to Cold Kiss. I liked that it dealt with Wren learning more about her power and finding a balance as well as more about her sister, Robin's struggles. However, I really felt like not enough happened to warrant these being two separate books. Or there wasn't enough detail to really flesh out the things the way I wanted them. The situation with Gabriel in particular felt so superficial that I found it frustrating and the resolution not fully satisfactory. This book helped me put into words how I felt about the first one - everything is handled at a very shallow, superficial level. I mean, I'm not looking for some deep philosophical tome, but these books feel like rocks skipped over the surface of a pond just touching on really interesting conversations and situations and then bouncing off before it reaches any depth. And because of the subject matter and the way it's written, it can't be brushed away as being a fluff book just for fun. You WANT there to be more but it's not there.

So while I liked the premise and the characters, I just didn't find the execution satisfying.
