Queen of Myth and Monsters by Scarlett St. Clair
3.5
3.5/5⭐️ I’m actually a little letdown on this book. The first one in the series was a five star read for me so maybe I just had to high of expectations? I think what got me the most was that the two main characters fought the whole time. They fought and then they hump. That was the basis of their relationship. There was no growth, but I feel like they went backwards. I like the rest of the story though. I liked how our FMC was learning about herself and coming into her new abilities, but that was slow moving. I just felt like she just wanted to fight with Adrian every time they talked, and it was really monotonous and upsetting to me. maybe I’m just a romantic at heart and I want more romance and sweetness. It can be brutal and enemies to lovers kind of things but constantly arguing and then constantly humping after each time is boring. This book might be right up your alley, and you could absolutely dig it and I will be so happy for you! Now, the end is exciting and I have high hopes for the next book. Will I be reading the next book? Yes, most definitely!
