The Death Sculptor by Chris Carter
5.0
Oh. My. Golly.
I don't even know how to start describing this book, I think it has to be read to be believed. I thought the last three books were brutal, gory and complex but WOW. This book knocks them all out.
I really do love the characters in this series not only Robert Hunter but Garcia and Blake too. I also like the introduction of Alice Beaumont in this novel, a match to Hunter's intelligence and quick thinking. The book is so dark and yet the interplay between characters can often be light with the personal developments and Garcia's rubbish jokes.
The plot itself is as complex as ever, twisting and turning and developing with every page. Carter's writing style compliments this as he builds the tension throughout the pages and you know that at the end of a chapter there will be a big statement or reveal that will throw everything up in the air again.
Absolutely loved it, I'm just devastated I've got to wait for the next one now!!
