A Red Herring Without Mustard by Alan Bradley

4.0

I really like this historical mystery series with the young chemist Flavia. I admit that I'm secretly jealous of her chemistry lab. The murder in this one was a little gruesome, but that didn't seem to bother Flavia at all, she's a tough cracker for only 10. I did expect with all the foreshadowing for there to be more development of the backstory of her mother.
