 I liked this, the writing was suspenseful for the most part. I liked the narrator, Michelle St. John, felt she was speaking as Kala but not doing different voices as much as others might, but I appreciated this. I got the sense of the other characters. Would look for other books she narrates. The opening scenes are extremely difficult to listen to because of the events. Would listen to others in this series.
