Moderate: Racism, Sexual content, and Violence
Enemies to lovers on the American frontier. FMC Katherine finds herself relying on an Apache warrior Gaetan for escape from robbers and survival on the frontier and they form a bond that grows. This is a great picture of the Apache Native American way of life as they tried to continue to survive while the US and Mexico tried to exterminate them. For this reason it was sad but with a HEA. It was well written and realistic and the FMC was likable/reasonable/strong and not obnoxious. I enjoyed the slow burn of watching their relationship grow. The story did not drag and held its own along with the romance. The steam was a 3/5 and not as explicit as some of her other novels.
