This did take me a while to read because I got a Steam Deck for Christmas and Cult of the Lamb has consumed me but I really did love this.

Some of the hardest lines... 'Like vengeance gone gold' chef's kiss. Wolves have no Kings mmm mmm mmm delicious give me 12,000 more pages. The ending of this had me gooped and gagged.

  • Like ‘vengeance gone gold’
  • To confront finally the worst there is, to look it squarely in the face and say, ‘I know you. You have hurt me, almost to death, but still, I live. And I will go on living.’
  • One can only walk so far from one’s true self before the bond either snaps, or pulls one back.
  • I wondered if I would ever stop measuring myself by how Burrich treated me.
  • It was possible to be homesick for a time, and to be lonely for the only other person who could recall it.
  • I felt a sea- change in me. Like the shedding of a cloak, or an insect crawling from its cocoon, I felt myself emerge.
  • There is a place where all time is now, and the choices are simple and always your own. Wolves have no kings.
