Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

Whew this felt like a major accomplishment finishing this BEHEMOTH of a book (and this is the shortest of the series-- wow I'm going to have a great time when it comes to reading more).

I originally watched the Outlander TV series during the pandemic, but stopped watching in the middle of season 2 from what I can remember due to emotional distress (I literally couldn't stop crying after a /certain/ episode, iykyk). I recently started watching season 1 again because I like to torture myself and figured I should read along with the show. And WHEW I was blown away by how close the show follows the book! By far the most accurate book-to-screen adaption I've seen so far!

The book was outstanding. I've been on a time travel book kick recently, and Outlander is the best. You'd think with a 850 page book, some parts have to be slow. Nope! Action packed the whole way through! I can't wait to start on the next book and continue reading about the adventures of Claire and Jamie <3

(I also need to visit Scotland asap)
