This book really picks up in the last half, which is a good thing because the mystery unravelsĀ so slowly. And yet it was so, so satisfying once it did unravel. Sophie was a fantastic audience surrogate, and the couple well-placed twists were icing on the cake. The decision to split the narrative by time and perspective was at times difficult to follow, but in the end Jewell really pulled it off. Excited to read more by this author!
