This was a pleasant surprise for me. I went in with low expectations, but was pleased by how much I enjoyed the chemistry and build up between Rhett and Summer. The story isn't exactly enemies to lovers, but they start the novel disliking (and judging) each other, and end it happily in love and planning their future.
The writing had its weak moments, and there was one particular plot point I expected to happen, and right as it's about to, Rhett just does something completely different. So that was a huge anticlimax. But apart from that, this was a compelling read. I found myself looking forward to picking it up, and kicking my feet when I realised we were getting "there's only one bed". I may have bought up the next three books in the series (they were on a deal, OK?), so we'll see how the next book turns out.
