“We don’t share, remember, Trigger? Stories lead to feelings, and feelings lead to pain. No one wants pain.”

Trigger and Tess.
Oh my god. I found a new to me author I need to read all their backlist now.
I was this book in run sitting and then jumped on Amazon to purchase the next book.

Trigger is Prez of his MC of Devils Reach in Santa Monica, CA. He’s past life and how he was forced to grow up, as a killing machine, has him keeping everyone in check with an iron fist. He doesn’t do love. He doesn’t do relationships.

Tess is running from someone. Her life. We’re not sure about her in this book but it sounds like an ex that has power and a hold on her but she’s got a best friend named Brick, Triggers second in command, who would do anything to help out Tess and he does by giving her a job the MCs bar as a bartender.

Tess and Trigger definitely are into each-other immediately and have a “acquaintance with benefits” type relationship.

This book is heavy in the MC world and will keep you reading till the end. It’s dark. Bloody. And full of drama and enemies.
