The Sea Monster's Mate by Delaney Rain

It's really really REALLY bad

This book is basically just a bad copy and paste of another story and it suffers. We get some sprinkle of fake drama from Eric whose moved to an island to escape "family prejudice" and some ex who hurt him bad but there's no delve into it. It's just there for some added sprinkle but absolutely worthless mentioning.

If this was a slow burn, agreed baby surrogate romance, I'd be all in. About 30% through its a huge DNF. But I did try so hard to just finish it and it made me cringe. It tries to be funny and cute but it's not. 70% I was skimming as it was just so bad!!

The cramp and the saving happens in less then a paragraph. Eh. After a quick chat, this book is done. No build up, just boring "yeh sure I'll do this!" Even though it pretends he had a real good think about it.  The fact Ty's gender is swapped from "he" to "they" and go ahead with all other male anatomy. It was a pain to read. Add in more "they" and it's so confusing. So Ty has thick lips and 1 tooth that curves into a beak? What? During the birth, Ty tells him to "give into his instincts, his body knows what to do" how??? Eric is male and would never be in this situation. He would have no idea what to do. This book is dull as anything by 30% through. It becomes a serious chore. The jokes aren't even remotely funny. These kids are completely perfect. Yay. How dull. The fact Eric is completely prepared for everything. Boat with baby pool. Scuba diving. Yawn. About 2-3 weeks and we have a solid committed relationship and babies....no issues...yay. Micheal....uncle and friend dies due to boat explosion. Nah, all good. This is as far as I could go before I started skimming hardcore. It doesn't get better. More worse.

Don't bother. It's a waste of time.
