The Love Square by Laura Jane Williams
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? Yes
- Loveable characters? It's complicated
- Diverse cast of characters? Yes
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated
2.5
I didn't love this book, I found it very mediocre. I couldn't get into it, it took me a few days to get past 30%. Honestly I wanted to DNF it but I'm glad I didn't. The ending was fine but Francesco was a dick during almost the entire thing.
The "love square" was totally unnecessary, and the conflict was just meh. I didn't like how the main character was dating 3 people at once and expected them all to be there for her.
It was boring at times as well, and I really didn't care for any of the characters. There didn't seem to be much development or even characterisation apart from the fact that Penny was a chef and had cancer. It actually seemed kinda rushed, and the epilogue was just not it really.
Realistically this book is 2.5 stars.
