How Beautiful We Were by Imbolo Mbue
Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.
DNF @30%
In all fairness to this book and Mbue, I am not interested in slow paced, reflective books right now. I’m over 4hrs in to the audiobook and very little has happened, although the language is beautiful and Mbue’s fictional town is believable and honestly the only thing interesting to me so far.
I think it was a mistake to only listen to the audiobook instead of having a physical book to work with…so it is a DNF for now but I plan to pick this up in the future when I am ready to dive into this narrative and can get my hands on a real copy!
