Look up the trigger warnings prior to reading this book. Nothing I could put together would be exhaustive or perfect.
I walked into this knowing nothing and read this aloud to my wife on a 3.5 hour drive to the beach. I stopped about half way through (salamander) because I got upset. I finished it at the beach but did not read it aloud again. I told my wife the ending because I knew it would upset her more to hear or read it.
Enjoyed the writing and the stories within the story. I thought the set up was really nice and it made me enjoy the ending more. I really loved the acknowledgments. Good book if you like really fucked up shit.
I prefer bigger books so it wasn’t substantial enough for me.
