The summary didn't interest me, I only picked up this book because of its reputation as being excellent. I am so glad that I did, I couldn't tell from looking at it but this was the exact kind of fantasy that I am looking for: court intrigue and politics, queer characters, steamy romance, and a plot with real meaty consequences. I will trust the internet more with their gay fantasy recommendations from here on out. For fans of Foz Meadows.
