I liked the entire Rivers family and Mark’s story was heartbreaking. It was heartbreaking and incredible watching him deal with his trauma and try to heal.
Unfortunately, Riley wasn’t my favorite FMC and so it made it difficult to root for her and Mark. She had a lot of great qualities, but she was also selfish and immature. She made bad decisions and then felt sorry for herself when her bad decisions had consequences. She flirts and then gets upset when the man she’s flirting with is interested and then gets mad again when they give her the space she asked for. She lets her past completely dictate her entire life. She just seemed like she had some growing up to do.
