"Anna and the French Kiss" by Stephanie Perkins is a young adult romance novel that centers around the forbidden love between the title characters. Unfortunately, the story of star-crossed lovers is tarnished by the revelation that the male protagonist has been unfaithful to his long-term partner. This betrayal is all the more egregious because the affair is never addressed or properly condemned by the narrative text. On the contrary, the reader is instead asked to sympathize with this morally bankrupt character, thereby creating a disturbing and problematic dynamic in the novel.

Tldr: god I hate St. Clair and once a cheater always a cheater
