AHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
okay, genuinely. this book can get a little "trust the process" as you read it. But it never feels meandering or uninteresting. it's not heavy on world building. it makes sense and doesn't have to be cross examined.
I can understand others confusion or dislike of the multiple types of POV and first person/third ect. but it starts off setting this up as a story from historical records so in that context it makes sense and keeps it an engaging read.
All of the characters Have a differnt view point and they're all fascinating and the interplay of relationships feel fresh and interesting.
going to be anxiously awaiting the sequel for once.
