ugh i was super excited about this one but it just didn’t do it for me. i was really looking forward to an action packed sci-fi story with sapphic mc but i was disappointed. the action was there and the plot was moving but it all felt pretty dull. i felt like there was no “urgency” to the plot because even reading the action scenes wasn’t enough to get me hooked to the story. the mc was cool and i liked her sarcasm but her ongoing flirting with hell monkey was kinda annoying. i was expecting her to already have an established yearning/relationship with another female character. sorry but i really didn’t like hell monkey’s character he’s partly the reason why i dnf this as his interactions with alyssa made me roll my eyes.
