A deliciously dark short story featuring Mairi and a fae kelpie with golden eyes and shark teeth. When Mairi befriends Olphia as a child, her parents instil a fear of demons, but Mairi can't forget the chaste kiss with Olphia that gave her gills. When Mairi is given to a male suitor against her will, she enlists Olphia's help to... Solve the problem. A perfect length of short story, beautifully written, intriguing, enticing, and dark. A great read!
