So, let me start off by saying that I am a huge fan of Ruby Dixon's IPB/IH/that universe. I understand that if I compare every alien romance to that universe, majority won't hold up to it.

That being said, Loved By The Alien Huntsman was a good book! I absolutely loved the exploration aspect to the story - I'm literally an Astronomy major that focuses on exoplanets so that always piques my interest. The female main character was brought in and narrated in a way that allowed readers to connect with her. That's always important; if you don't stand behind the main character, you're probably not going to finish reading it. The male main character was approachable (for the reader) as well.

Where this book lost some points (for me personally), was how quickly the story went. It seemed as if all of the background of the alien species and the solution was a little bit too rushed for my liking. Don't get me wrong, I love novella lengths - LOVE THEM. But the downside to the opening book to the universe being novella length is that it comes across as rushed.

The other thing that lost this book points for me was the fact that the alien tribe were a hunting and gathering/leather-wearing group so please explain how they had knowledge of not only space (spaceships, aliens to them, etc) but translation technology (and know how to implant it!) as well. If there was some sort of explanation within the story of how they knew any of that, it wouldn't have been a hold up for me.

Outside of that, though, I'm about the story and the universe being created!
