(re-read) told in a diary narrative; apocalypse/survival story; loved this book just as much as I did the first time I read it, as a teen; such a fascinating topic with amazing character development and growth; the MC can be a bit annoying (typical teenager), but I got over it; completely captivating and surprisingly thought-provoking.

I had never forgotten this book after my first read. It truly will stick with me forever.
