The Fat Girl by Marilyn Sachs

4.0

Sach's narration was such an excellent reflection of gaslighting that I was openly cringing throughout the entirety of this book. I found it so hard to read at times and the development of the god complex in the protagonist was so expertly crafted that I HATED him by the second chapter of the book. One thing that really, really annoyed me, however, was the style of the dialogue. For some unknown reason, all the characters called each other by name, every time they spoke and it was so jarring and repetitive I became so frustrated with it.
