My Friend Anne Frank by Hannah Pick-Goslar

5.0

Absolutely devastating, terrifying, heartbreaking and tragic book. But a very, VERY important one too. One of the things Hannah said: “a quiet, loving, comfortable existence can be stolen away by the powerful forces of hate.” I think that really captures her story and the horrifying things so, so many people lived through in the Second World War, which she also describes in detail.

It feels weird to give such a heavy weighed book 5 stars but it deserves it, for everyone who died, for the people who lost their loved ones and also for the people who survived, to honour them and to never forget what happened for the people in this generation, but also for the future generations.

Thanks to Hannah, for telling this very important story and truth about that very scary and horrible time in history.
