Amina's Voice by Hena Khan
4.0
This was a very sweet and enjoyable book. I really appreciated the diversity, the glimpses into the cultures, and especially the descriptions of food! My mouth was watering when I read the descriptions of Korean food. I love Korean food. The descriptions of the food Amina's mother cooks sounds absolutely delicious... I wish I could try them. Amina's fears and insecurities are very authentic and made me sympathize a lot with her. The fear/horror/anxiety she felt after her mosque was vandalized was really well-captured.
