Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton

The Characters are great and the stories not bad. Unfortunately the audio book has special effects sounds which I hate but the reader is good. The world it takes place in is not logically self consistent. The author also seems to be addicted to pointing out those problems, which makes it hard to suspend disbelief and enjoy the story. If the vampires are affected by blessed crosses and holy-water that would remove faith since it would make everyone certain about god there would be no atheists and there would be no faith. You can't have explicit and testable proof of something and faith in it,since faith is the belief in something with out proof.
