How to Take Smart Notes: One Simple Technique to Boost Writing, Learning and Thinking – for Students, Academics and Nonfiction Book Writers by Sönke Ahrens

3.0

Useful if at points tedious background on how and why the Zettlekasten method of taking notes works. Narrowly addressed to academics. Though he occasionally mentions non-fiction writers, he doesn't really think about or explain how non-fiction writing differs from academic writing and how that would affect the use of the method. The book would have been more useful if there were a little less academic theory and a little more thought about how to apply the method in different contexts.
