Wow, this was in interesting change of pace for the series! Lots of action taking place as pretty much the entire book encompases the final battle between Laural & Co. vs Klea. I was actually really impressed with how well Pike put this kind of story together. Not a lot of romantic angst though we do get our love triangle (square?) wrapped up pretty neatly in the end.
Speaking of which, I can't decide of Pike's little author's note at the end was sheer genius or really annoying. The epilogue itself, however, was very interesting. Well played.
