The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama

5.0

I really enjoyed this. Is it a commercial for Obama as a politician? Yes. And no. I think Obama was meant to be a politician. He genuinely cares and he has an underpinning of hope that speaks well for him. I like that he was able to point out differences of opinion or policy with others and not resort to name calling or mud slinging. He was honest (or seemed to be), but not brutally so.

I love that he traveled our country to meet the real people he was hoping to represent. He didn't travel in four star luxury either, but as a down to earth man and I appreciate that even more.

I'm glad I read this. I found it uplifting, and yes, hopeful. It's also incredibly refreshing to listen to a politician who gets down to business, does research, reads, loves his family and seems approachable. All without demeaning, slandering, name calling or attacking anyone else.
