The In-Between: Unforgettable Encounters During Life's Final Moments by Hadley Vlahos

After seeing some of Hadley's videos on youtube and hearing her stories, I was really curious for her book.
It was not fully what I expected; instead of just telling patient stories, she basically tells the story of her own life up until now, interwoven with stories of patients. At first, this disappointed me, but as the book went on, I started to like it.
I love Hadley's empathic soul, her loving and caring personality and her attitude to do the best she can.
Hospice is not really a topic we ever think about, I feel like. But it was very insightful to read about the last period of people's life, and I am so intrigued about their experiences in their last moments. This is definitely a topic I got more interested in because of this book.
