I enjoyed this read. The characters and their stories grabbed me from the beginning, making it easy to keep reading. I found it sagged a bit in the middle but then sped up again towards a great ending. Each and every character is well defined and interesting in their own way, and the magical system is well developed. Looking forward to reading book 2
