The Assassin & The Pirate Lord
I have always really loved this story, it links to later in the series with Rolfe plus it introduces Sam who I absolutely adore! It also gives you more look into what Celena is really like, how much she really cares plus you see the first developments on her relationship with Sam.

- The Assassin & The Healer
This is and always has been my FAVOURITE story in AB. Yrene is such an incredible character and knowing how she comes into the story later makes me appreciate this more!! Chaol is my absolute favourite and knowing Celena is like an invisible string between him and Yrene makes me want to cry, I also love how much Celena inspires Yrene and how much she appreciates her it just makes me really cry.

- The Assassin & The Desert
Again, although this one is a bit longer, I really like this story. I like the plot of it, how fast paced it is and also again how it links to later in the story. Theres high stakes towards the end and even though I know how it ends, it makes my heart absolutely pound in some places.

- The Assassin & The Underworld
This is the longest story in the collection and my least favourite. I love the introduction of Lysandra and the development of Sam and Celena's relationship because I absolutely love them so, so much but it also feels quite long and boring in some parts. Although, I do love the bit with the masked stranger and the party because I know its Dorian and Chaol my kids😭

- The Assassin & The Empire
This story just makes me sob my heart out. I love Sam so much and I love his relationship with Celena obviously I know Rowan comes along and their mates so really would Sam and Celena really last? But oh my God does this story absolutely break my heart, it's the betrayal of it, the pit I get in the bottom of my stomach that just makes me absolutely cry my eyes out.
