Defending Allye, by Susan Stoker
3.0
There's little to no substance to this book, which is totally fine as long as you go in expecting that (which I did).
I think my biggest gripe with the book was the casual misogyny. Why was Gray commenting on the attractiveness of a kidnap victim when he's rescuing her? Why did he call her "kitten" upon first meeting her? Why did he expect her to give up everything for him? I could go on, but you get the point.
Overall, 2.5 out of 5. It could have been a lot better, but it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I won't be reading another book in this series.
