Amina's Voice by Hena Khan

4.0

I love this. What a sweet story and one that I need every single person, young and old, to read. Amina is Pakistani-American and in addition to starting middle school and being a little shy, Amina's Voice also deals a lot with her Muslim faith in a way that any reader will gain a better understanding and empathy about that religion and culture. It also tells a beautiful story about coming together and overcoming senseless hate, and learning to forgive. I think mid/upper elementary readers and middle schoolers will find a lot to relate to with Amina. And that cover! *emoji with heart eyes*
