Making it Country by Alexandra Hale

4.0

This book was a bag of emotions. Worst the FMC has the same name as my bff.

We met Hank in book one as the MMC's brother. Isla is a city girl who Hank knows is better off staying away, but his body is telling him something completely different. After she left the big city behind, Ira decided she needed time and space for the life she didn't want to live anymore. She may look rosy from the outside, but she's always had a hard time proving herself to Ira. As they move from oil and water to pure fire, they learn that life is more than they thought and the other was the missing piece.

We got a really nice book in which this story was written. Hank has so many layers, and his years in prison have changed him in so many ways. Family is still the first priority for him, but from there he learned that everyone acknowledged him for what happened in the past. Aira is wild and strong, but she just wants to get her own way.
